I spent over 30 years of my life as a multi-unit manager in the restaurant industry. After decades of managing people and operations, I decided it was time to build something of my own. We purchased our first franchise, EmbroidMe (now called Fully Promoted), 12 years ago. In 2018, we decided to expand further and purchased our second franchise — Stratus Building Solutions.

What was the deciding factor in choosing Stratus over other opportunities?

I wanted a business that aligned with my values — professionalism, sustainability, and helping other entrepreneurs succeed. What’s a standout success or milestone you’ve achieved since becoming an owner?

Since launching the Hamilton/Burlington/Niagara and KW/Cambridge/Guelph regions, we’ve built a strong network of franchisees and now support clients across a wide range of industries — from medical and education to office and retail. We’ve enhanced training and onboarding systems, expanded into new territories, and built a reputation for delivering quality service with responsive, reliable support.

How has Stratus shaped your professional growth or personal outlook?

Who or what has been the biggest source of inspiration in your business journey?

My biggest inspiration has been Monika, my partner in both life and business. Her dedication, creativity, and steady focus motivate me every day. I’m also inspired by mentors and fellow franchise owners who lead with integrity, resilience, and a commitment to helping others succeed.
