What is a master franchise territory with Stratus Clean?

A master franchise territory is the exclusive right to develop the Stratus Clean brand across a defined region. As the master franchisee, you recruit, train, and support the unit franchisees who deliver the cleaning, so you build and lead a network rather than perform the service yourself. Your income comes from unit franchise fees, a share of recurring royalties, and territory services. Learn more in What Is a Master Franchise?

How is a territory defined and sized?

Each territory is a defined geographic market, typically a metro area or region, mapped and written into your master franchise agreement. Stratus sizes territories using population and commercial-facility data, such as the number of offices, medical buildings, schools, and industrial and retail sites that drive ongoing commercial cleaning demand in the market. You develop the entire area, not a single address.

What does "Available" mean on this page?

Available means the master territory is currently open and has not been awarded. Not Available means the territory has already been awarded to a master franchisee. Only one master franchisee is awarded per territory, so availability changes as markets are claimed.

Can I own more than one territory?

In many cases, yes. Experienced operators can develop multiple territories over time. If you are interested in more than one market, tell our franchise development team during your discovery call, and we will walk through what a multi-territory path would look like.

How much does it cost to own a master franchise territory?

Owning a master territory is a capital investment in a business you build, not a job you buy. Master candidates generally have $125,000 to $150,000 in liquid capital available. Do I need commercial cleaning experience to own a territory?

No. You succeed as a master franchisee through recruiting, coaching, and business development, not by cleaning. Our master franchisees come from backgrounds such as corporate leadership, sales, operations, insurance, engineering, education, and retail. The Stratus system provides the training, technology, and support you need to lead.

Because each market is awarded to a master franchisee, the first step is a discovery call with our franchise development team.
